Innovation
Hornsdale Power Reserve, famously built in under 100 days, is a 150MW / 193.5 MWh battery providing grid stability. It saved energy consumers over $150 million in its first 2 years of operations.
Combining expertise in energy management with our physical storage assets, Neoen designed a solution to allow AGL to mimic a grid-scale battery, without having to build or own one.
Delivering clean energy 24/7 – our first baseload contract of 70 MW with BHP combines wind from Goyder South, storage from Blyth Battery and our energy management smarts.
Respecting Communities
Neoen acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.
We pay our respects to their Elders – past, present and emerging.
In particular we pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of the lands on which our projects are located, where we harvest and store the energy of the sun and the wind.
Neoen acknowledges the unique position of Māori as tangata whenua and recognises the enduring role of iwi and hapū as mana whenua throughout Aotearoa. We respect the deep whakapapa connections between people and whenua, and the responsibilities of kaitiakitanga that guide the protection and enhancement of te taiao for future generations. As we seek to embrace the gifts of Papatūānuku, we aim to develop projects that strengthen intergenerational wellbeing and reflect our respect for the authority and tikanga of mana whenua across the motu.
We are committed to building genuine partnerships with all our host landowners and respecting this long-term engagement throughout the development, construction, and operations stages of our projects.
Neoen recognises their relationship with the land on which our technologies are hosted and their ties with the local communities surrounding our asset.
We commit to an open, transparent communication process and work closely with our landowners.
